| John Pirman was born and raised in Ohio. He received his BFA from Kent State University in 1979. During this time, he studied in Switzerland under Paul Rand, Arman Hoffman and Herbert Matter. He has lived and worked as a freelance illustrator in New York City for 19 years.
John was hired to redesign Nick at Nite On-Air Promotions, for which he won a Broadcast Design Award. Additionally, his work has been shown at the Society of Illustrators and the Art Director’s Club. John’s Christmas cards have been featured and sold at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. John’s editorial clients include Arena Homme Plus, Entertainment Weekly, House and Garden, Jane, Mademoiselle, Out Magazine,Self, and Wallpaper while his corporate clients include Abercrombie & Fitch, Estee Lauder, Strathmore Papers, McMillan-McGraw Hill, Neiman Marcus and United Airlines. |
